Neuroimaging, linked to the study of genomics, can actually improve the process by which we diagnose, prognosticate and treat mental illnesses and neurodegenerative diseases. Combining MRI findings with genomics and the relative molecular pathways can allow researchers to identify novel sites for innovative pharmacology. Indeed, to combine the power of different approaches in neuroscience will be "to image the future".
